Quantifoil

● HexAuFoil® ultra-small hole gold supports: This revolutionary new microperforated gold support film achieves zero-dose reconstruction through displacement-free imaging, significantly enhancing image quality and improving the efficiency of high-resolution structure determination in drug development and basic research.

● QUANTIFOIL® holey carbon film supports: QUANTIFOIL® transmission electron microscopy perforated amorphous carbon support films feature uniform pore size, shape, and spacing, making them an ideal choice for modern automated data acquisition. The carbon films are suitable for various applications including single-particle analysis, tomography, and correlative electron microscopy, and can be used with all types of grids, including finder grids and large-view grids.

● UltrAuFoil® holey gold supports: UltrAuFoil® ultra-stable gold support films reduce beam-induced motion, enabling better reconstruction with less data. They are an ideal choice for researchers seeking to improve the resolution and data quality in single-particle analysis, including high-throughput workflows required for structure-based drug discovery.

● Additional UltraThin Carbon Layer (UTC): The addition of an ultra-thin continuous carbon (UTC) layer improves particle distribution and quality. The carbon surface adsorbs biomolecules across the entire pore area, enhancing dispersion while isolating particles from the damaging air-water interface to preserve integrity.

● Conventional and Continuous Carbon-Coated Grids: Traditional amorphous carbon support films offer non-uniform pore sizes, shapes, and arrangements, making them suitable for a wide range of applications, including particles of varying sizes. Depending on experimental needs, continuous, perforated, or mesh-patterned carbon films can be selected.

● SiO2 Films: Featuring a highly functionalizable glass-like surface, these films are particularly suitable for cell culture. Their excellent mechanical strength withstands additional manual handling required for on-grid cell culture, tomography, correlative electron microscopy, and cryo-focused ion beam milling.

● QUANTIFOIL® Active self-wicking grids: Designed specifically for the Chameleon system, these self-blotting grids represent a novel grid technology that eliminates variability associated with using external filter paper for sample blotting.
